In the case of Black Ankle Vineyards, the answer from the beginning in 2008 when the place opened outside Mount Airy, Maryland, was always an emphatic yes, with depth provided on everything from the makeup of the wines to background on the couple (the wife and husband team of Sarah O’Herron and Ed Boyce) who started the business. They have five children.
That thoroughness has carried over to today.
