Black Ankle Vineyards in Mt. Airy, Md., this fall will enter its 10th year of business amid a thriving wine club, a national reputation for quality and a tasting room expansion that is adding the final touches. The work should be done by September.
Selected all three times that thedailymeal.com has published its list of the 101 best U.S. wineries, Black Ankle continues to build on a foundation that includes four Governor’s Cups, mentions in national publications such as Wine Enthusiast, and participation in a variety of workshops and tastings, including an East Coast winemakers tasting held at Waltz Vineyards Estate Winery in Lancaster County in April.
