Some days, we can’t believe how blessed we are to be able to live and work in such a beautiful place! DeJon Vineyards is part of the Long Green Valley Conservancy, with protected wetlands as part of our property. This is a great day to learn more about our environment and how to preserve it.
Folks from Ecotone Inc, Marshy Point Nature Center, and the Gunpowder Conservancy will be here. They will share the steps taken daily to preserve and protect our wetlands.. You’ll discover the wide assortment of plants and wildlife from insects to birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Maybe our resident deer, foxes, rabbits or groundhogs will make an appearance!
Our theme is Make It/Bake It /Grow It/Conserve It. Several vendors and exhibitors will also be here to share their skills and craft in wood and metal working, using natural and found objects, and reducing and reusing to lessen our impact on the environment. Several craftspeople and local artisans will share their creations.
The Smokin’ Carnes food truck will be here serving up some delicious lunch to go with your Dejon wine, or feel free to bring some snacks of your own.
Live music from Bryan Miller Trio from 1-4.
Wagon rides, crafts and fun for the kids! Make your plans and bring the whole family to enjoy the day at DeJon! Free admission, no reservations required. We’ll see you soon!
