“Catoctin Breeze winemaker Mike Lentini lived overseas as a child, then settled in Pennsylvania’s Franklin County. One of the products of the short-lived Harrisburg Area Community College’s enology and viticulture certificate program, he worked as an intern under winemaker Stephen Rigby at Hauser Estate Winery.
“It was a really good program for being a two-year certificate,” Lentini says. “I learned a lot of basics from them. And then my internship at Hauser with Stephen Rigby was just icing on the cake for me. I learned a ton about making wine from him. Even in the beginning I got some advice from Doug Fabbioli [of Fabbioli Cellars] on making Cab Franc when I started here.
