Bonded in 1945, Boordy Vineyards in Baltimore County is Maryland’s oldest winery.
Boordy Vineyard was originally owned and operated by Philip and Jocelyn Wagner of Baltimore. The first legal vintage of Boordy wine was bottled by Jocelyn in 1945, and it was the first vineyard to import Vidal Blank grapes into the U.S. Their Landmark Series wines are made in limited quantities and are sourced from 100% Maryland grown grapes, principally from Boordy’s estate vineyards in the Long Green Valley of Baltimore County and South Mountain Vineyard in Frederick County.
Since 1980, the vineyard has been owned and managed by Rob Deford and his family who have lived and worked on the farm where the grapes are grown and the wine is made for four generations. Boordy Vineyards is open for tastings and tours daily and offers wine flights, food, and live music on Saturdays and Sundays.
