Maryland wineries earned three “Best in Category” awards and five gold medals this August at the 2019 Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition, held in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia.
Black Ankle Vineyards, Robin Hill Farm & Vineyards, and Cool Ridge Vineyard were each awarded “Best in Category” for their submissions to the Syrah/Shiraz, Vidal Blanc, and White Vinifera Blend categories, respectfully. Basignani Winery, Black Ankle Vineyards, Cool Ridge Vineyard, Port of Leonardtown Winery, and Robin Hills Farm & Vineyards each earned a gold medal for wine submitted to this competition.
Along with five gold medals, wineries throughout Maryland were awarded 24 silver medals and 32 bronze medals. The below is a breakdown of the awards won by Maryland wineries.
