Wine in the Woods is one of the premier events in the region and a source of pride for Howard County. The entire Department of Howard County Recreation and Parks has worked together as a team to produce this event. The festival has been voted Best Outdoor event by Columbia Magazine in 1997 and 1998 and awarded Best Annual Festival in Howard County by Howard Magazine for the past five years.

The Maryland Wine Explorer Pass provides exclusive access to premium wine samples from wineries around the state. Featuring a curated selection of Maryland-grown wine, the Maryland Wine Explorer tent is the perfect place for wine enthusiasts to enjoy fine, local wines. Explorer Pass features wines from Black Ankle Vineyard, Love Point Vineyards and Winery, Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard, Thanksgiving Farm Winery, and Clear Skies Meadery. Maryland Wine Explorer Passes are limited; add your upgraded pass today. You get access to the Explorer tent plus access to everything the Taster Ticket provides.
Advanced ticket purchasers may enter at 10:30am each day so that you have time to come in and find your perfect spot before the festival officially opens at 11am (sales and wine pouring will begin at 11am). The event runs rain or shine. Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable and can only be used for the day you purchased them.
* The Non-Taster wristband entitles you to up to four complimentary beverages at our Non-Taster Information Booth. Please present your wristband to the volunteers at our booth, any time during your visit and enjoy a beverage on us.
