Arrive Friday evening to sip samples of Crow Vineyard’s award-winning wine while enjoying a cheese and charcuterie board before sitting down to a Soup Supper. Enjoy your Saturday around the manor property or head out to Chestertown for some shopping and sight-seeing. Saturday’s dinner will begin with a local wine tasting from Crow Vineyard and Love Point Vineyard with appetizers before sitting down to a 3-course family-style meal.

At the time, her career was rooted in finance and accounting, but it took one “horrible day” at her full-time job to prompt a call to her best friend, Denise Matthews. “I said, ‘Hey, I’m so tired of this mess. Do you want to start a winery with me?’ And she said, ‘Yes, sure.’”
That conversation triggered the beginning of Philosophy Winery, what the founders call a ‘mobile boutique’ wine business: Johnson and Matthews sell their wines at farmers markets, festivals, and online, as well as make home deliveries…”

The grapes gathered on this picturesque late-summer morning were chardonnay, and they were part of Linganore Winecellars’ 45th harvest.
