As he sat outside a tasting room that overlooks farm fields, Paul Roberts recalled the day he and his wife opened their business.
At that time, his wife, Nadine Grabania, told him, “No one knows we’re here.”
So Roberts quickly built a sign and planted it at the end of the drive leading to their new winery, Deep Creek Cellars.
It worked.
“People started coming in,” Roberts said.
And they kept coming.
This year, the company will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
