So what is Wanderland, an event that Maryland will hold for the first time on Aug. 21?

For one, it will include a mix of the state’s beverage industry, which is represented by Grow & Fortify, an Annapolis-based firm with an aim toward working with a cross-section of agricultural organizations and the businesses they represent.

That includes breweries, distilleries and wineries, all of which will be represented at this evening event (6 to 9) that will be held in Ellicott City at the Shrine of St. Anthony.

All told, around two dozen members of the Brewers Association of Maryland, the Maryland Distillers Guild and the Maryland Wineries Association will offer samples of their product while representatives will provide background on the products and the business.
